Chandrayaan 2 Landing LIVE: India and ISRO are moments away from making history with the lander Vikram within touching distance of the lunar surface. The first image of lunar surface set to be beamed back to Earth anytime now. As per a timeline of the action-packed night released by ISRO, the lander Vikram was to land at 1:53am and the rover Pragyan will roll down a ramp at 5:19am. In an extraordinary moment, the rover will click a photograph of the lander at 5:45am.

Fine breaking phase has also been completed successfully. Vikram lander is now less than 400 metres away from the surface of moon.

ISRO headquarters awaits for signal from Vikram lander. Chandrayaan 2 should have landed by now. The delay has left many people anxious, including everyone present at the ISRO headquarters.

PM Modi Urges Scientists at ISRO to be Courageous | After ISRO lost communication with Vikram lander, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the scientists at space agency to be proud of whatever they have achieved. He congratulated them and asked them to hope for the best. Speaking to the scientists, Modi said, “There are ups and downs in life. This is not a small achievement. The nation in proud of you. Let us hope for the best. I congratulate you. You all have done a big service to nation, science and mankind. I am with you all the way, move forward bravely”.
